Lenovo offers a sensible choice between the 4500U and 4700U. The 4500U is competetive with the best Intel based 15 Watt laptops, whereas the 4700U offers some extra power if you need to get demanding tasks done quickly.

The display supports the Lenovo Digital Pen and is an excellent addition for note taking and drawing. Unfortunately, the screen suffers from a low maximum brightness of just 250nits, that is all too common among budget laptops.

ZenlaptopsVerdict

The Lenovo Flex 5 is a very capable laptop at a very good price. It is a bit on the heavy side, but offers some extra screen real estate compared with other 13.3inch laptops. Having said that, an additional 50-100nits of brightness would improve this laptop a lot, even if it increased the price a bit.
